Dr. Shamica Long-Lane is a triple threat Executive, Educator, and Edupreneur strategizing with individuals and agencies to dream, plan, strategize and execute! As a veteran educational leader, with over 18 years in public education, I share my failures, fears, and faults that have catapulted me from the classroom to the boardroom and as a trusted advisor.
What have I done during my 19 years?
Middle school English Language Arts teacher for 6 years
High School Assistant Principal for 2 years
Middle School Principal for 1 year
Central Services Director and Executive Director for 6 years for Secondary Instruction, Technology, and Human Resources.
Then what? I transitioned into higher education.
But all work and no play is dull right? I am married and I have a son in college at my alma mater The University of North Carolina at Greensboro! I love reading, writing, listening to music from my prime (the 90’s) and spending time with my family.
